In a stunning display of logistical prowess, Express Global Logistics (EXG) of India has completed a mammoth project that marks a significant step forward for green energy in Saudi Arabia. The operation involved transporting giant structures necessary for a groundbreaking green hydrogen initiative.

These massive modules, each weighing as much as 250 tonnes and stretching 50 meters long, were crucial to the project. Altogether, 14 colossal units, with a combined heft nearing 1,500 freight tonnes, were moved across vast distances. This ambitious endeavor saw EXG utilize their state-of-the-art Megaload transport capabilities.

Megaload fleet was crucial, featuring advanced Scheuerle modular transporters equipped with 48 axle lines, dual power pack units, and specialized spacers to handle the immense load. Precision was the hallmark of the entire transportation process. Eight of the modules were expertly loaded onto ships using the roll-on roll-off method, while the remaining six were transported to the jetty by specialized units. There, powerful crawler cranes deftly positioned the modules into place.

Seamless execution was essential, highlighting EXG’s exceptional planning and expertise in overcoming complex challenges. Balancing the vessels during sea voyages was a matter of utmost importance, requiring meticulous attention to detail.

In a strategic move to enhance their capabilities, EXG partnered with the Italian firm Fagioli in early 2023. This collaboration, branded as the Megaload venture, aims to expand expertise within the petrochemical and construction sectors, thereby fortifying EXG’s prowess in handling monumental logistical tasks.
